Let's get this rodeo started

Since I'm the night-owl here, I guess I'll try this and see if it works.  I've never posted to a community before, so this might not work, but fuck it.  (Yeah, folks, I am pretty much NSFW all the time).  I would have posted sooner, but I was finishing a chapter.  The one downside to being a professional writer is that you have to write every day - tired, sick, not in the mood, whatever.  Today I have been kind of tired, but that's because starting a new gaming campaign has put my creative energies into serious debt, and I have been tired for weeks now.

Anyway, I am excited to be a part of this anthology.  I've never been in an 'erotic' anothology before (I tend to use the word 'porn' more often), but when I heard 'pirates" I was all over that shit.  I mean - what is sexier than pirates?  (Naked girl pirates I suppose.)  I once found a scrap of paper on which I had apparently written "Teenaged Super-Pirates" at some point - I had no memory of doing it.  I showed it to my wife and said "I have no idea what this means" and her response was "Well, make it mean something RIGHT NOW!"

What is sexy about pirates?  I think it's the idea of freedom, of people living beyond any and all rules, going where they want, dressing however they like, and of course doing whatever they want with their helpless captives.  The essence of sexy is, after all, the interplay of power and powerlessness, the shifting balances and allegiances and connections that make sex more than just friction.  A pirate is free but often has nothing, wields the powers of life and death but lives under a sentence of death if they are caught - they are predators and victims, masters and prisoners, rich one day and poor the next.  They are never dull.

Plus they dress *really* sharp.
